Viresh is the Founder and former CEO and MD of mjunction services limited, and nurtured and grew the company till September 2016. Under his leadership, mjunction became not only India's largest and most profitable eCommerce Company but also the world’s largest e-Marketplace for steel ( metaljunction ), the Worlds most innovative e - Marketplace for Coal ( coaljunction ). Before founding mjunction Mr Oberoi was in Tata Steel.

Mr. Oberoi has attended Business and Management Programmes from IIM - Ahmedabad, INSEAD - CEDEP - Fontainebleau, France and Harvard Business School, Boston, USA. He was the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry - Eastern Region for 2014-15 and is currently the Chairman of the National Committee on e - Commerce. Mr Oberoi also holds the position of National President of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of India and President of the Kolkata chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE).

The IIMM awarded him “The Chief Executive for the Year”. He has also been conferred the CMA Management Excellence Award for Leadership. He is also the recipient of the Udyog Ratan by the Indian Economic Society.
